Three looming clouds of immediate threat to our way of life are far more important than climate change. If we do not survive these threats, then the claimed effects of climate change will not matter.

Education:

The trend over the past three to four decades has been the takeover at all levels of education by a corporate / bureaucratic mindset at the administrative level and a socialist agenda at the teaching level. The corporate control has given rise to the teaching and lecturing professions being relegated to a subservient sub-class, where individuals and groups desirous of raising student’s learning abilities no longer have a say in how students are taught. Centrally controlled standards and tests have replaced the teacher’s experience and their well-tuned instincts in managing the learning needs of students under their care.

The socialist agenda has led to a marked diminution of graduate (at all levels) thinking and analysis skills – the so-called dumbing-down effect. It has also replaced independent critical analysis with widespread acceptable of thoughtless socialist values and diminishing moral standards.

In short, a content verses concept battle has replaced traditional learning, where the former is now the dominant approach in the delivery and assessment of educational outcomes.

Political Correctness (PC):

The consequences of the rise of PC on the Australian way of life have been devastating. The impact applies particularly to societal norms and expectations such the banning of Christmas and Easter observances; the emergence of anti-norms such as reverse discrimination; the ascendancy of the demands of minority groups over the wishes of the majority’s expectation; multiculturalism and diversity; same sex marriage and equal rights; the insidious introduction of anti-discrimination laws (Section 18c for example); the rise of misinformation and flawed opinion taking precedence over facts and evidence; the distortions of language and word definitions to coerce corrupted and/or ill-considered demands; the use of unproven rhetoric to gain dominance self-serving of rights and privilege; and perhaps the most destructive of all, the gradual shutdown of free speech and the tenacious removal of human rights.

Whilst it is not wise to attempt to control how societies work, the actions outlined above point to a deliberate attempt to change western society for the worse. To wit: marxism as a tool for fulfilling the long-term, self-serving agenda of a privileged elite.

Corporate Greed and Corruption / Government Deception and Incompetence:

A long term plan is needed that aims to counter and ultimately replace the ‘acquisition at all costs’ mindset of a privileged few with a vision that enables the identification and enactment of policies and laws that favour the needs of the majority.

For example, when a country exploits is natural resources in order to gain wealth rather than educate its people, its long-term viability diminishes along with an inevitable reduction in the supply of the natural resources. Moreover, an educated society will give rise to technological advances that invariably lead to cheaper, more efficient ways to carry out the same tasks and thereby maximise the value and longevity the known resources.

Consider that the time soon arrives when the cost of production of an entrenched technology, such as oil, will exceed that of cheaper and more efficient alternatives. If this fundamental principle is not observed, eventually the economy is destroyed through reduced revenues and subsequent excessive taxation, which in turn decreases the total productive capacity of the working people. Consider also, that the cheaper, better alternatives are often held back due the controls and influences that have been established by the owners of the more dominant, entrenched technologies.

Similar problems are now evident across many corporate, government, and media sectors. The spectre of an imminent threat of climate change and the frenzied push for renewable energy sources to mitigate the claimed catastrophes is pushing the cost of living beyond the means of ordinary people. At the same time, green technologies and energy are adding to the already bulging pockets of corporations whilst lengthening the excessive list of privileges and benefits politicians receive by colluding with corporations and betraying the very people that elected them in the first place.

All three clouds are intentionally interlinked and together form a far bigger and more insidious cloud – one that can destroy western culture as we know it without the need to drop even one nuclear bomb.
